The chunk for multiple areas are in the same chunk, is where my problem is.

Those area names that flash up on screen, they are done by totally different game code as a kind of broadcast message. It's the same system that does the event announcements like MEST and it's also triggered in some quests for NPC dialogue and story-telling.
These kinds of text don't go into the UI, it's completely unrelated, so unfortunately it's not possible to access the text from within UI windows. Which is a shame because I agree it would have been cool to use it.
