mine still works. but i had to redo my video drivers.

something with a recent windows update turns off some overlay ability.

once i reinstalled my video drivers it was working fine again.

also if you updated your UI you may have replaced the index.xml file. just re-follow the directions for the movie window to make sure its installed.

Tried to install this, had the overlay window, but my VLC movie wasn't showing in game, the window was on top of the player too

this rocks .. srsly. this could lead an "integrated" movie player for pre-rendered cut scenes and tutorials!

Installed this and I get the screen up where things should play and a movie button to hide it or load it up, but no place to tell it what to play.

you have to open the movie with vlc and position your vlc window where on your screen you wnt to be able to see it in game. then position the over lay on top of where your vlc window is under the game and you should see the movie playing.
