Default UI Lag

After free to play went live, I changed myUI http://www.vginterface.com/downloads...I_v7.12-k.html to work with the newest game updates. They were simple changes, and none that I think would cause any issues (but I'm not a mod author).

I noticed after the most recent game updates that opening bags, playing a diplomacy card, and clicking on NPC's (waiting for their dialogue window to open) has a significant game freeze/delay of a second or two. It's extremely annoying, and I was wondering if anyone knows what may cause it. I don't think it's a graphics setting because everything else in the game runs very smooth. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I've experienced something similar. Whenever I mouse over an npc, a mob, crafting station, rift stone, or just about anything and my fps drops by half. This last patch totally messed something up for custom UI's. Not sure what it is.

edit: Your UI and mine (MinimalistUI) seem to be affected, but I tested Drox and Sinisna's and they are unaffected.

After a long process of trial and error I discovered it was the FPS+Ping window. I'm not sure why it was causing such a massive fps drop, or why it only started happening after the most recent patch.

It was in my information.xml file, this is the code that I had to comment out:

I commented that out, and it didn't change anything. I still have a very bad 1-2 second delay in opening bags and playing diplomacy cards. This is probably because we have different UI's, so I know it's something in myUI that isn't updated correctly since the last game update. So frustrating ><

The thing I would do Joxer is to go into your index file and start commenting out groups of lines. This way you can narrow it down very quickly. Eventually you'll find which file is causing it, then go into that file and comment out sections at a time.

That's what I did and it worked out in the end.

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried that and none of the lines being commented out in the index file fixed it. I think it has something to do with myUI using a file called "myUI_partsFromVGUIMainBar" that loads with the system files, because there's some talk of the MainBar on this thread http://forums.station.sony.com/vg/po...topic_id=57613

Not sure if it is related, but curious why the --> end comment out notation is placed after the end command for the VGUIWindow at the end of the Lag Meter section. I've marked it in Red above.
