Default hotbars problems

when I log off then back in my hotbars revert back to the large size which makes them overlap. Every time I have to resize them smaller.
suggestions?
thanks

Current the UIScale value is not saved when you log out. This is a known issue with the VG client.

If you use the options nadger up in place to reduce, or increase, the size of menu bars you will have to redo this work everytime you log in.

I wish this was not the case but it is.

Well, not true for all bars. The offline options application included with Core allows you to set a different icon size for most bars. There are no options for any other container in which case sizing settings don't carry over.

The offline options do not use the command /uiwinscale in game. They modify the xml files directly and change the size of the hotbars that are rendered.

There is a big difference between the two methods nad they cannot be compared.

dixieladye didn't specifiy how she was modifying the bars, so I took your post to be a 'There is no way to modify the size' response. Hence me pointing out the offline options capability.

I posted about a page back that it would be nice if the other bars were added to the offline options, as I like to keep my containers and system bar at a smaller size.

As of GU4 that is all that is available. When Helms were added, they removed the majority of the charater customization we had.

This is supposed to be coming back when ever the new charater models become available.

I don't think that has anything to do with Core. SOE dumped a massive chunk of character customization with GU4 in order to optimize models and enable helmet graphics.

You got several things wrong there.

The customizations were removed for performance reasons, not to add helms. It's just that the removal got rid of the things that were in the way of adding helms, so they added them at the same time.

Customizations are not coming back. What we have now is the ability to change the textures on your face. They are talking about adding more textures; the ability to change the underlying bone structure is gone forever. It was too problematic, and they decided to ditch it rather than fight trying to make it work any longer.
