Thank you for welcoming me back everyone.

Kyel: Its a concept picture but what I have done in game looks exactly like that. The only thing thats not done in game that is in the concept is the exp bar and the coin bar.

welcome back nadger

ive always liked your designs... esp with dusk

however i have to say i don't like the HUD for the monster health bars.
the L shaped lines for health, mana etc aren't appealing.

just my .02

Default Glad you are back!

I have been using your UI now for a long time its good to see ya back!

Please keep the Golden Eye and if you could have it show mob level and dots too...

As a cleric I cant live without the health/healing buttons that your UI has it makes it so much easier and faster for me to keep a party alive! It would be nice if there was a way for it to save the buttons between log ins. The way it is now sometimes its saved but most of the time I have to manually add them back in before adventures.

I would hope you leave the option for the verticals you had before without names just green bodies that showed the health and the 3 buff/heal buttons. It was nice to have that near the goldeneye hud for me to speed click heals.

The one thing I do like about the drox was the extra hot bars/boxes any chance of a few of them too that saves whats put in them?

As a 45 almost 50 cleric Im finding Im running short on buttons for spells lol

Thanks again for returning and updating your GREAT UI!

Talking Yay

Good to see you back, I loved core, and then read you weren't going to update anymore. So I moved to dusk (not realizing that it was no longer being updated either). I'm still using the out-dated dusk because I find it hard to live without the shourtcut window (with the keys for loot, corpse, trade, camp, mounts, etc.) and the PvP window (shows char's name and level prominately on my screen on a mouse-over). I'm way too lazy to just make my own keys and that PvP window will be a HUGE help when we merge in to FFA. IF you could include an option to have those in the new core that'd be awesome.
Do you have an eta for core 3.0?

Much thanks, and welcome back.

There will be a couple other HUD choices. But for now i only have 1 in. I wasnt too sure I liked it either at first but once i played with it it just felt right and was easy for my brain to comprehend without trying

Goldeneye is indeed staying. The healer bar is already in and is more functional then any ive seen yet. Instead of having a group window, and a group hud, and a player status window, and a healer bar as all different things, i just combined them all. The healer helper is toggleable on and off for people who dont want it and it also does one other neat trick im not revealing yet.

Hotbars in core 3.0 are imo next gen, and theres plenty of them.

Core will have a shortcut window, with built in handy macros, as well as a help section for how to create other custom macros that are must haves.

I had forgotten about the pvp window thing I made. I'll try to remember to toss it in.

As far as an ETA...first will be private beta, which is only issues to my guild members is Old Timers Guild. Its nearly ready for private beta. Then after that Im not sure if Ill do an open beta or just release it. Depends on how much i get done and how fast.

Servers down so i took the time to do some offline photoshop work.

I added virtue/jin/phenom to the HUD as well as pet HP and progressive form status.

Heres a concept shot of it all together...though theres no class in game that im aware of that has pet, virtue, and progressive forms. So this purely for example.

The cyan colored bar in the center is for jin/virtue/phenom. The yellowish bar inside the players hp is their pet's HP. The little bar above player hp with the blood drops is progressive form status (blood mage, dreadknight, ranger, bard)

I tried so make these a bit more intigrated into the HUD then CoreUI2 did.

Note that those extra elements are only visible if you require them, a warrior for example none of those extra elements would be visible.

It's hard to really tell without using it but as a pet class I am concerned about how easy it will be to really see the pet HP.

Any thought of how you are going to do the Pet window as well as the Minion window?

It seems that most UIs gloss over or ignore the pets and minions.

I would like to proopse at minimum that the pet dismiss button is seperated from the rest of the buttons and that it is at the end not the middle like the default UI. Perhaps even a better grouping of the buttons or some diferentiation between defend me and defend self.

It's probably not worthwhile but it would be really nice if the caster classes, which use energy but not endurance really, had the option to, or have it automaticaly, switch the energy and endurance bars in the HUD. I know that it would require extra graphics be loaded for everyone as well as extra options. I also realize that I am a big proponent of less overhead and clutter

My hope is that you will take my suggestions about individual XML files to heart and we can easily comment out the sections we don't need.

Looking good. Dusk may get officialy retired when this comes out.

Oh man I can't wait. I just love the hud thingy. I never could get used to having the player window in the top left corner and the target in the top right corner. Just felt totally unintuitive to me regardless of game. I want it all nicely collected to get a better overview. It also brings my eyes closer to the chatwindows which also gives me vital info.
