Over taskbar/start bar?

I did some searches but got no hits for this.....does anyone know of any way to make Vanguard go OVER the taskbar other than turning off "Keep task bar on top of other windows"?

I know it sounds like the taskbar should stay on top according to the option, but EQ2 and WoW both go over the task bar in windowed mode.

I just like to have access to email and IMs while playing, so....help?

Only with external apps that would be considered violating the EULA.

What do these apps do besides letting Vanguard rest ontop of the taskbar? Are we talking EULA violation on the scale of the Warp and Speed plugins for Macroquest, or stupid piddly EULA violations like Windower for FFXI?

A little of both. The application in question can do as little as play the game in a "full screen window" (ie. windowed mode but with no border or title bars - which is what you and I both want) or as far as macroing diplo and crafter bots. It's a ramped up version of WinEQ, if you remember that from the EQ days.

Ah. I know the program you're referring to, then. The blend of WinEQ and MacroQuest.
