Default Image Scaling Woes

Dear interface gurus,

I am currently experimenting with making a custom window for Vanguard, but have come across a problem, this window is a complete change, but I am modifying the existing drox abilities window code, rather than writing a whole new one! (I find this a much easier way of learning things).

The image size for my window, layed out in a single layer 72dpi TGA file, is 750 x 460 pixels.

In the XML file that references this image, the co-ordinates are set to x=0 y=0 w=750 h=460. Along with this, in every area that I have come across within the window XML file, I have set the width and height to the same.

However when I load the window into Vanguard, the window is cropped at 750 x 460 but with the texture being displayed at a larger scale (roughly 140%).

It has got me rather confused as to what I have done wrong, and any help would be greatefully received.

Kind Regards,

The TGA files need to be a base 2 size. Make the file 1024x1024 (leave the extra black for the background) and that should fix your issue. Also, make sure you are setting your alpha channel maskings properly if you get black in your window in game.

Thankyou that has fixed the problem, I thought it had to be in multiples of 2, i.e an even number, not a base 2 size!
