Default GlassCoreUI 2

Hey i thought it was cleaver
anyway, I'm just messing around with my UI and i really liked the look of the GlassUI but i liked how Core worked

so i thought, why not mash them together and added my own spin (ie: no Papyrus background)
I don't know if I will release it or not, and I still have work to be done but I thought I would share my work thus far

Update April 4
finished Diplomacy, redid the papyrus replacement so it was a little easier on the eyes

You know, I like it.. and ive been wanting something like this for a while.. I just have an issue.. the two tone everywhere.. Like the dialogue window and the broker window, the darker tone up top, and the lighter down below.. It rubs me the wrong way for some reason.. If they were a solid color (the light) and more transparent, I think it would work out really well! Looking good so far tho!

If you wanted you could just release it as a skin pack for coreui rather than a whole interface.. Nadger would probbly bundle it in with his if you asked.

I agree with cdxrd, looks good but the papyrus replacement throws the whole thing off. And yeah from the looks of things you didnt change any code just the tga file so it could easily be a skin. When its done I think ill include it in the next coreui release, with propper credit of course.

I dont want to hijack your thread but i did mess around a bit with a glass look on my newest concept UI, but i ultimately settled on the granite look as seen here: http://turtlehair.net/nads/van/Stone.jpg

yeah, i trashed the two tone thing already... I realized it after this, i already went to fixing it.

Id be happy to let Nadger to include this into his mod, even though i did alot of work to his, Kegz deserves some credit too... though most of the stuff he did has been tweaked and changed by me, it was his UI i started with

Definately something I will keep my eyes on.. I like the glass look, but the 2 tone would have made me a) edit the files or b) not use it.. Post some new screens of the new look as soon as you have em! You can also email em to me and Ill test em in game.. heh..

Nadger, you have my interest! I like that look / layout.. Needs smaller hotkeys since I usually keep the main bar, plus 4 small ones up.. plus the right side.. I have a lot of empty spaces, but I like my way of organizing.. But rather than derail this thread on yours, lets give this its own thread.. heh.. sorry rinerdar.

Edit:

Just saw your changes.. looking good so far! Question though, would it look better with a darker papyrus replacement? Something is still bugging me.. Also, the hotbar slots and the character sheet still have that 2 tone appearance.. But I know your probbly working on it still. Diplomacy window looks awesome!

Maybe a mechanical surface texture or border around the edges?

Default DarkerCoreDroxMyui

i have done the same thing but have used darker2.0 as the base ui (because i think it looks the best) and then just added in all of the options and features of the other ui's.

i tried custom ui but it didnt let me use darker as the base ui so i used the options button from it that opens all the ui's options menus and then started importing all the hotbars and features of each ui.

if a feature didnt work i excluded it... this means if you toggle a window and nothing happens its because its not compatible so all the works been done, unlike custom ui where each person had to by trial and error find out what works and doesnt work.

i can upload screenies if you want, but i was wondering if this is something people would want me to upload for them to also use? i love it and have shared it with a few friends who were very impressed
