Default Core questions

I lve this UI only problems I seem to have are with the HUD color, it disappears on the floor of caves making it a bit hard to see. Is there any way to change it? And the other is the timer...Is there a way to extend the amout of time the HUD stays up? Sweeping my arrow back and forth over the HUD spot during battle is slightly distracting while getting my tail whooped.

Is this happening with all the different huds or one specifically? I havent had the problem so was curious.

The hud stays up as long as you have a NPC targeted.

I think Cheyenne may be referring to the HotSpot that brings up the circular hotbar.(But I may be wrong)

The color is set by the image file that contains that image. If you want to edit it, open the relevant file in photoshop or something and edit your heart out.

As for the fade time, I'm not sure, haven't looked at the XML for that window as I don't like it personally.

Now if you are talking about an actual HUD (The thing that displays health, energy, ect.) Then the color would be the same method, open in an editor and change as you see fit.

The HUDs are timed to disappear after your target has died, or you de-select from your target.

To change the time it takes to disappear you need to edit CoreHotkeys.xml and search for <VGUIWindow name="Hotkey HUD">

Then look in the settings bracket for that window for visFadeOutTime="2800". You need to change it to a higher number to make the fade time slower, or a lower number to make it fade faster.

Nadger,

Do you think you will ever release Winged HUD as an option? I noticed all are working except that 1, and imo winged HUD is the best one :-)))
