Description
TBird DroxUI Compilation v2.9.4

TBird DroxUI Compilation v2.9.5 Changes
  • Updated new TBird Compass/Clock so that the FPS/Ping ring acts as a lag meter, color changes due to level of lag. Thanks to idea from Jehcan.
  • Added a separate lag meter, which is the same lag meter from the TBird Compass Clock for those wanting a true lag meter but not use the new clock/compass.
  • Modified both Vertical Group HUD's (the new TBird Vertical Group HUD, and the default Drox Vertical Group HUD), to display Jin/Virtue of your character in a small yellow bar under your name.
  • Updated to InfoMap 2.7
  • TBird Compass/Clock changed, so that when the icon shows for adventure or crafting points available to spend, you can click the icon to open the character window.
  • All current patches and fixes are rolled up, plus is compatible with all current updates.

NEW TBird Clock Compass
  • Select able from the Control Panel, Info Bar Tab
  • Left circle contains FPS and PING, and is a lag meter. The ring color will change with level of lag.
  • Center window will display Outpost icon (if in outpost), Unread Mail, Compass, and way point distance if a way point is selected. Also Earth and Telon times.
  • Right circle will display a graphical representation of Telon Time.
  • Along the bottom of the center information window on the left side a Blue circle with a sword in it will appear when you have adventure points to spend, a orange circle with a bag in it will appear when you have crafting points to spend, and on the right a button to open the browser to the redirect page is there.

TBird DroxUI Compilation v2.9 Changes
Fully Free to Play Compatible: All items purchased in marketplace with warning for Default UI will work in TBird Drox. This is a major update, if you have issues upgrading then delete your DroxUI folder and start the installation new.

Upgrading UI
A note about upgrading. Significant changes to the index.xml file, it is recommended to backup your current index.xml (if you have personal modifications in it), and after you re install then you can make the changes:
  1. Rename index.xml and TBird_Config.cfg to index_orig.xml and TBird_Config_orig.cfg
  2. Copy the new files over.

Notes about 2.9 Release
Currently this is a pre-release to the changes I have in store for v3.0. Mostly it will be to the TBird Drox Setup program, where it will have the ability to check your installation and copy the files to the appropriate places. No more editing VGClient.ini, or copying layouts, and so forth. Of course unless you want to .

  • And much more....

Installation

First Things to Do:
  1. Make sure the default UI is set to DroxUI. (See Below in “Setup Steps to Complete after Installation”)
  2. Unzip the download, and copy the DroxUI folder to your shells folder, you can find it in <Vangaurd game folder>\VGUIAssets\Shells. Note if you are upgrade, you should see a warning message that you are overwriting files, if you didn't then you are likely in the wrong place.
  3. In the DroxUI folder is a user folder that contains layout presets and user.ini options, copy the contents (not the folder) to <Vangaurd game folder>\bin. If upgrading you can skip this step.
  4. Run TBird Drox Setup to set your options. Could be run before step one, just will not see your changes in game until you do step one.

Setup steps to complete after installation:
The TBird DroxUI Compilation is now installed in the proper folders for use in Vanguard. You will need to edit the VGClient.ini file in order to use the UI in game.

To prepare your VGClient.ini file for use, open up the file in a text editor such as notepad. The file is located in the following folder:
<Default install folder for Vangaurd Game>\bin

Example would be:
C:\Users\Public\Sony Online Entertainment\Installed Games\Vanguard\bin

Once open, search for the line that says “Shellname=Default”. Yours may show something different if it was already setup with a customer UI. Replace it with “Shellname=DroxUI”, the folder name of where the UI is stored (default is DroxUI). Once this is done, you can go into the game and configure your layout.

Your UI in Game
Your screen will be a mess the first time. Major features are selected in the TBird Drox Setup program in your root UI folder. First time it should read your setup and determine it's option, go through each tab and select what you want. Any options in the Setup Program you have to change out of the game with Vanguard not running.

Start Vanguard, once you are in, hit escape and get the game menu up, and select TBird Drox Settings. Here there are more features you can turn on or off, and in the bottom of the window a check box to go to layout mode.

In layout mode you will see most of the windows and you can move them around as you please.

The first tab in the setting window gives you six slots to save layouts to, so you can have different ones, or try different ones. There are some presets loaded already, so if you have any problems finding a window try loading some different presets.

Resetting Presets
In the UI folder is a folder labeled “User” in there is default layouts, and original user.ini files in case you opted not to overwrite yours and you are having any issues.

Game Controllers
To setup G15 or N52 keyboard/controllers please read the Readme.txt file in the DroxUI main folder.

Thanks Jehcan.

Not sure how I changed those statekeys, must have done some global replace that affected them.

Anyway I uploaded the lag meter fix to include these fixes, was trying to roll out a new version, but having a couple programming issues trying to work through.

So everyone please download the new patch for the TBird Lag Meter and now clock fix.

Tbird compass clock

The clock in the Tbird compass clock is acting wacky. It would switch between 12 hour and 24 hour formats. I notice it seems to happen on both game and real time. The other clocks appear to work correctly.

I think I found the problem, you have to many "statekeys=20".

I tested it and all appears fine. Just change some of the 'stateKey's, starting at 16 there are a couple (for example 'stateKey = 17 was 20). I think there is 4 or 6 total in two sets.

<StateWindow stateKey="16">
<UseControl type="TextField">
<TextField fontSize="7" color="white" centered="false" align="right" fontFlags="0">
<Rect x="7" y="20" width="48" height="18"/>
<Text>4 pm</Text>
</TextField>
<Settings searchKey="_current_game_time"
dropShadowText="true"/>
</UseControl>
</StateWindow>
<StateWindow stateKey="17">

Looking forward for more cool additions.

Lag meter looks great.

However found a small graphics bug in it, the red meter only shows about 1/3 of the red graphics. The rest of the colors are working very well.

<StateWindow stateKey="Red">
<UseControl type="StaticWindow">
<StaticWindow pictureMode="true" textData="Graphic">
<Rect height="32" width="12" x="5" y="5"></Rect>
<GraphicName isBaseName="false" label="Graphic">
<Name>DroxLagRed</Name>

I changed "width=12 to width=32" and now the red graphics is working correctly.

The small bug is in both 'TBird_CompassClock' and 'Drox_InformationBar' .

Looking good!

I managed to corrupt the img file that had all my hotkeys and ui layouts vanish. Is it possible to click-hide a hotbar or set of keys, or make a macro to do that?
Not exactly sure how your layouts would vanish, unless they were overwritten, as for the hotkeys, if you are referring to the setup that information is stored server side so if using a different PC, or if you switch to the default UI it could affect macros, and hot key setups.

(Edit)the web window keeps popping up after manually turning it off several times.
Which version are you using, it works fine for me at the moment in version 2.9.5

another Q: for just g15 which ini is which folder used? again the docs you provide/wrote out need a touch clearer if there are multiple files in multiple folders.
Use the one in the Gaming Devices\G15

I dont remember if i seen this anywhere, but the UI doesnt save properly in layout mode.
That has been an issue for a long time, nothing can be done on the UI side to change that since it uses the same \uisave command you would do manually. So it is best to go out of layout mode when saving.

Someday when I have the time, I do plan to write more detailed documentation.

I do not think you are Trolling, and the question is valid. No it is not a lag meter in that way, I like the suggestion though. Let me work on that..

Update, got it working, it shows a green/yellow/red ring in the FPS/Ping meter circle. Will update after a little testing. Also added a stand alone lag meter for those that do not want to use the clock.

I am not Trolling anywhere. I just asked you a simple question about the lag meter. I am trying to see if mine is working correctly. You don't have to get pissed off if someone asks you a question.

Zatris, Does your 'lag meter' change colors (green, yellow, red) and is the 'lag meter' on the left circle of the compass with the numbers in it?

If that is the case, mine don't change colors; it is just a black background with the numbers.

Thanks

Ui is loading much better with this realease and love the lag meter in the clock, much better than having to mouse over just to look, im so lazy ...

Also, there is an error on the tooltip for distant objects. had one incident where I left a character logged in and something had a fart somewhere, came back and ui wouldnt load properly. /reloadui - same issue, tried loading from the control panel loaded an unused UI file with a similar name, off by one letter, there was one error when i was setting up the control panel in a save name and the ui load that one not the one specified: solution was to delete that "off by one letter file". ui reload was fine after that. i find the oddest crap ...

Lag meter?

I cannot seem to find a lag meter. I was using 'Ruffins core' mod and switched to this one.

I got use to seeing a green/yellow/red lag meter and I miss it. Does your UI have one? You could somehow work it into your compass if it doesn't

Also is it possible to move or resize the 'Become a member' and 'marketplace' buttons?

Thanks

Released 2.9.4

Yes, to the several people that have sent me requests working to add them. Especially the Optimization Feature for those concerned with UI Lag.
