Description
Welcome to XE's DroxUI compilation! It was never my intent to post this compilation, but as time has gone by I keep getting requests from friends for a copy of this UI. I take no credit in the design of any of these components, the great authors who have made each part of this UI compilation possible are listed below. The idea behind it was simple - get all the great tools I was using, into one UI, without too much overhead.

Inside you will find:
* DroxUI with Craeat updates
* Soresha's Great Infomap
* Soresha's Mini Diplo cards
* Maddy Craft window
* Soresha's Gear Switcher

All combined into one UI that has been working great for me. Loading the UILoader1 file will get everything I use on the screen for you, which can then be arranged via layout mode (menu button or /togglelayoutmode) to fit your needs.

Please note I have edited the Index.xml file so any features not used in UILoader1 do not load. You can Enable/Disable any feature as described in "Performance" below. If I've mis-credited, forgotten any authors, or you have a comment, you can send Xeviar Ryder a mail in game.

-----------------------------------
IMPORTANT NOTE ON LAYOUT PROBLEMS !
-----------------------------------

If you have problems where your game refuses to remember the changes
you make to the UI layout, then try one of the following.

If you are running Windows Vista, find the vgclient.exe file in your
Vanguard/bin folder, right click on it and select "Run As Administrator".
This will ensure that the game has permission to change the files
that store the UI layout.

If you are running Windows XP, you may have the same problem with
permissions, but you'll need to fix it by making sure you log in with
an account that has administrator permissions or set the permission
appropriately for the Vangaurd folders. I won't go into further details
on the solution for Windows XP as the methods are too varied to get
specific and they don't always fix the problem.

-------------------------------
IMPORTANT NOTE ON PERFORMANCE !
-------------------------------

All users of this or any mod which provides you multiple versions of
one or more windows, such as vertical or horizontal group and encounter
windows, will cause some degradation in FPS and possibly UI freezes. This
can be minimized! Read on...

The reason for the lag is that Vanguard was designed to keep all windows
constantly updated even when they are not visible. So each version of the
group, encounter, and buff/debuff lists are all constantly being updated.
This causes your computer to do a lot of needless work. On some computers
this isn't very noticeable, but for most it does cause problems when you
are in a large encounter with a group. While I could remove all but one
version these windows, that would be counter to the goal I set out to
achieve when I created this mod, that was to give users the flexibilty
to choose how they wanted their UI to look and work.

So, how do you overcome this problem?

In version 2.0 I split out nearly every important window into it's own
file. This will allow you to selectively load only the windows you end up
using. To control which files are loaded you need to edit the index.xml
file found in the DroxUI folder.

If you stick with the default layout that I provide, then this will be
fairly easy. If not, then you'll need to look through the list of
windows and figure out which ones your using and which not.

Below is an example of what you'll see in the index.xml file. You need to
cut and past any windows references that you are not using into the area
between the "BEGIN: WINDOWS THAT WILL NOT BE LOADED" and "END: WINDOWS
THAT WILL NOT BE LOADED". The <!-- and --> are comment markers for XML
files and by moving the windows into the afore mentioned section, you will
be commenting out the windows you don't want to load.

<!-- BEGIN: WINDOWS LOADED BUT NOT USED IN THE DEFAULT LAYOUT -->

<Window filename="Drox_Compass.xml"/>
...
<Window filename="Drox_ReactionAbilitiesHorizontal.xml"/>

<!-- END: WINDOWS LOADED BUT NOT USED IN THE DEFAULT LAYOUT -->

<!-- BEGIN: WINDOWS THAT WILL NOT BE LOADED

END: WINDOWS THAT WILL NOT BE LOADED
-->

If you have any missing windows when you log in next, then you'll want to
re-edit this file and figure out which windows you need to move back to
their original location.

-------------------------------
Notes about the DroxUI Key Mappings
-------------------------------

The user.ini file is needed to enable all the additional key mappings
supported by the DroxUI mod. Listed are the key combos that differ from
the default UI.

F11 = Take Screenshot (was numpad minus)
F12 = Autorun (was numlock)
` = Cancel Ability (it used to be auto-attack)

# = Main hotbar
Ctrl-# = Horizontal Hotbar 2
Alt-# = Horizontal Hotbar 3
Shift-# = Horizontal Hotbar 4

There are alternate user.ini files that will allow you to use the rescue,
reaction, and chains hot keys but at the expense of only haveing the N52
hot keys or the G15 hot keys enabled. If you only have one or the other
of these keyboard configurations you can replace the user.ini file with
the UserReactionsN52.ini or UserReactionG15.ini for the approriate one
for the keyboard you have to get the added hot keys provided by sony.

-------------------------------
Changing Hotbar Banks
-------------------------------

The horizontal, vertical, G15, N52 and 3x4 hotbars all support 4 banks (or sets)
of abilities. The following key combos let you rotate through those 4 banks on
their respective hotbars.

Ctrl-F1 = Horizontal Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F2 = Horizontal Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F3 = Vertical Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F4 = Vertical Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F5 = G15 Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F6 = G15 Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F7 = N52 Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F8 = N52 Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F9 = 3x4 #1 Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F10 = 3x4 #1 Hotbar Down
Ctrl-F11 = 3x4 #2 Hotbar Up
Ctrl-F12 = 3x4 #2 Hotbar Down

-------------------------------
Sample Layouts
-------------------------------

If you copied the files in the layouts folder to your bin folder. There
will be four sample layouts attached to the UI Loader buttons found on
the first tab of the Drox UI Settings window.

------------------------------------
Optional Logitech G15 Keyboard Setup
------------------------------------

If you have a Logitech G15 keyboard, may may want to use the game profile
I've included for Vanguard. This profile sets up the G keys to match those
assigned to the optional G15 hotbar. To use the profile, you will need to open
your Keyboard Profiler and choose Profile->Import and select the
Vanguard.lgp file found in the DroxUI\G15 folder.

------------------------------------
Optional Nostromo SpeedPad n52 Setup
------------------------------------

*** Many thanks to Kilatre for lots of help creating the N52 hotbar! ***

If you have a Nostromo SpeedPad n52, may may want to use the game profile
provided here by Kilatre. This profile sets up the Nostromo keys to match those
assigned to the optional N52 hotbar. To use the profile, you will need to import
the Vanguard.n52 file found in the DroxUI\N52 folder.

------------------------------------------------
Is there an option not to use the book journals?
------------------------------------------------

If you would rather use the default quest and abilities journals, I've included an
alternative index.xml file in the DroxUI\NoBookIndexFile folder. Simply copy
the index.xml from that folder into the DroxUI folder (overwriting the
existing one).

Exclamation Re: Healer hotbars missing

Hi Ryder,
Ive got this UI compilation installed and everything is great so thankyou.

Only issue is, my healer hotbars will not show up. I have added the horizontal and vertical hotbars to the loaded windows section of the index.xml, and they appear in ghost form in layout mode. But when I group up, neither window will appear. I've tried moving a spell icon around the area to see if a ghost icon frame appears, but nothing.

Can you or anyone help please? Its important to me as I mostly play healers and loved the healer hotbars last time I played.

Thanks for any help.

Hello there,

Well to be honest I left VG for RIFT and have been having a lot of fun just Playing and not crashing! At any rate....

Hmm, once you are in a group, the bars will be available, but you will have to drag spells from your abilities book to each bar, each slot the first time you use them. So drag a little, medium, big , huge heal and maybe a cure to each bar, once they are all there, I suggest you leave group, logoff, then back in to be sure you save the effort.

Thereafter each group up the bars should be preloaded - note in Raids it still only hotbars the group YOU are in. And remove the reference for the set you dont use (horiz/vert). Hope that gets you going man.

Local Drox files

Hi, just returned to VG and Drox after a few year hiatus!

Here's my issue. I'm going to be playing VG on two different boxes in two different locations, but when I logged onto 2nd box that has no Drox just standard VG UI, it emptied all my Drox toolbars when I logged into 1st box!!

Anyone know which file(s) contain the data about which abilities/items/etc are stored in which toolbar slot? So I can make backups that I can replace whenever I need to.

Might be a good idea to have a backup as well for other reasons as I'm sure we all know what a pain it is to populate them again!

Thanks!

Was very happy to find this as its all my favorite mods in one file! I am having a minor issue with the crafting window however, when I try to close it nothing happens..I have to back far enough away from the crafting area for it to close?

Any suggestions?

Designed For All Spheres Of Play

I hope you find this Compilation of fine tools created by our communities authors as useful as I have. Designed to help you in all spheres of play, this compilation can make your adventuring more fun, your crafting less clicky, and your diplomacy simplified. Thanks to my friends that got me to return to VG and make this compilation for them.
